Not a resort. Something better.

A little piece of the wild Mozambique coast.

Terra Bella is for people who would rather hear the ocean than the neighbours. Set on a dune between Guinjata Bay and Paindane Reef, the house is surrounded by coastal bush and sand, with sea views out over the dunes. Far enough to feel away from it all, but close enough that the livelier beaches, bars and restaurants are a short drive away.

It is comfortable, relaxed and deliberately unfussy. A place where bare feet, a cold drink and a good book are perfectly acceptable plans for the day.

Good to know

A few things before you pack.

Terra Bella is wonderfully off the beaten track. A little preparation will make your stay that much easier.

4x4 or diff-lock required

The final approach is a sandy track through the dunes, so a 4x4 or vehicle with diff-lock is required.

Bring your own towels

Towels are not provided at Terra Bella, so please remember to pack your own.

Our coastline is rocky

The coastline directly below Terra Bella has very sharp rocks and is not suitable for swimming.

Swimming beaches are nearby

For swimming and beach days, Guinjata Bay and Paindane Reef are both a short drive away.

Getting here

Part of the adventure.

Terra Bella sits on a dune between Guinjata Bay and Paindane Reef on the Mozambique coast. The final approach is part of what keeps this place feeling wonderfully removed from the everyday, and the beaches, restaurants and dive sites are a short drive from the house.

4x4 with diff-lock is required for the final sandy track to Terra Bella.

Important: Google Maps does not recognise the final access track and may try to route you through neighbouring land. Navigate first to the Terra Bella turn-off at 24°04'50.7"S 35°29'32.5"E, then follow our guest directions from there.
